St. Brigid's Fire

St. Brigid's Fire

A Women's Blacksmithing, Embodiment & Empowerment Workshop

Join us for this "fiery" blacksmithing event with Olivia Pevec & Lindsay Gurley. You will be introduced to the art of the forge, inspired by Ireland's St. Brigid, Patron Saint and Fire Mystic. St. Brigid created an inextinguishable fire which burned for 500 years at the religious house for women she founded in Kildare. This fire was also part of her spirit to give things away, despite protests from her wealthy father. She continually gave food to the poor, but her pantry was always full. The kitchen fire burning and warming the home was part of her legacy. Women have showered many with tangible and intangible gifts from their kitchens and they have stoked those inextinguishable fires for well over 500 years. We gather to celebrate the fire that burns in women's hearts, fire that they convey to men and children and their community through their warm & giving spirit.

Location: CRMS
Cost: $625 (Space is Limited)
