a poem of the wild

wild

and wild

and wild.

in a world of carefully

controlled and

predicted

experiences

why would you risk it?

this is where your sweet animal body

returns

to its unknown,

yet trusted

roots.

this is where its inability

to be tamed

engenders

trust.

trust that we will be

fed

scarred

awoken

undone

and soothed.

here we all find our place

in the order of

creatures

and seasons.

here we face:

our vulnerability

to our utter delight.

and the full potential of

our life-force in the

order of things.

wild

and wild

and wild.

return to

the hunger

and desire

of your own wild spirit.

let it lead you to places unknown.

let it lead you home.
